The actual Terms and Conditions.

When you use our website, our Training Peaks Portal, the BGCC group Facebook page you agree to our terms and conditions. (Terms are set out below). We reserve the right to change these terms without prior notification, but we will try hard to never change something major without prior warning. If you use any BGCC media then you agree to the terms and conditions listed below, even if you have not read them in full. If you are not happy with this, please remove yourself from the Facebook group and cancel your plan as soon as you can. (see cancellations below)

These legal terms (English law applies) are between you and BGCC. (BGCC/we/us/our) and you agree to them by using our website and Training Peaks portals.

1. Website, Blogs, Facebook groups, emails, Training Peaks portal.

You can read and act on any of the information on our website but we cannot be held liable for any accidents, injuries or mishaps, whether physical or dietary, while you do so.

If you share links to any of our pages, articles, blog posts or images by either email or social media, you cannot make it look as though you created it, and must credit us in the share.

The site uses cookies to help us to find patterns of usage, and to update more of the content that you are enjoying looking at.

When you sign up for coaching and become our client, we will collect some of your personal data, things like name address, date of birth and more. We will only ask for data that is relevant when writing a personalised plan for you. We will never ask for information that we don’t need and we won’t use it for anything else other than writing you the most personalised plan we can, ever. You can see our privacy policy here with information as to how we store your data, who has access to it, and how we use it.

2. Payment Terms

When you buy a 6 months’ coaching plan you can opt to either pay in monthly instalments or all upfront. Payments (including sign up fees for the first month) are due on the 1st day of each month. Please ensure that you set up your standing order on the 1st of the month. After 6 months of continuous coaching, you can give a month’s notice at any time. One month’s notice must be given before the 4th of the month to avoid payment of the next month’s fees.

Fees are as follows

Performance plans: First month £235 thereafter £150. Payable by BACS on the 1st day of the month in advance. Account: BGCC 43285042 Sort code 09 06 66

If you take a break from coaching, you will need to pay the setup costs again when you rejoin to cover the next season's planning. (For continuous payments, we absorb these costs during the offseason).

Coaching fees will be reviewed on the 1st October and will rise each year, at £5 per month or the rate of inflation, whichever is higher.

3. Security

All information collected from you will be treated with the strictest confidence. We will do everything we can to keep it safe, and to prevent unauthorised access or hacking. But we cannot guarantee that this will never happen. We cannot be held liable for breaches resulting in loss of data.

We will never share your personal data with ANYONE unless we are required to by a note of the law or other binding regulations.

4. Our responsibilities

All training plans will be compiled and created by Belinda Gregorie, a fully qualified cycling coach. On the Performance Plan, you will be entitled to a weekly call (38 weeks a year) an annual review (usually at the beginning of the new season). Extra coach time via Zoom, is available at an hourly rate of £60. (£30 for half an hour).

We will provide you with a personalised training plan.

Performance clients will be offered a regular weekly 15-minute call slot on a Monday afternoon ( between 1.30pm and 6.30pm, we will try to fit in with your availability but slots are allocated on a first come first served basis).

Calls will be offered on around 38 Mondays a year, excluding Bank Holidays. Notice will be given when calls are unavailable due to coaches being away.

Paid-up clients on Fitness and Performance plans are entitled to access to our Private Facebook Group and a locked backend section of the website.

We cannot be held liable for any accidents, injuries or mishaps, whether physical or dietary, while you are following advice from the plans, website or Facebook Group.

5. Your responsibilities

Your plan is intended for the week in which it is written. You should get a daily email from Training Peaks detailing sessions coming up, it is your responsibility to check the plan and to understand what sessions you have coming up.

Your annual plan is also generated on Training Peaks. It is your responsibility to check it and ensure that all events are notified and correctly listed. Any events that you do not notify us about within 12 weeks of the event cannot be guaranteed to be planned for. If planning has already been done, and you change your mind about your plans or events, you will need to pay for extra coach time to redo the plans.

You must complete the Profile Questionnaire on the website before training can commence.

It is your responsibility to inform us of any changes in your health or lifestyle, including illness, drug regimes, family stress that may affect your ability to train. Failure to do so may result in inappropriate sessions being prescribed. In this situation, we cannot be held liable for any accidents, injuries or mishaps, whether physical or dietary, while you are following the plan.

You need to be aware of appropriate warm down and stretching routines after each training session.

You need to upload every session from a device to Training Peaks, we cannot be held responsible for any sessions that are not fully uploaded from a device.

You need to comment and feedback on every completed session, and update your metrics daily. Failure to do so will compromise our ability to create a truly personalised plan for you.

You need to update your availability for the next block of training during the first 2 days of a recovery week. By 23.59 hours on a Tuesday evening. This includes events, fixed classes, rides, business travel, holidays and social events.

Failure to do so will result in a non- specific plan being created, changes will need to be paid for with more coach time at a rate of £60 per hour or £30 for half an hour. If you do not provide availability we will not be able to refund you for a plan you cannot use.

6. Cancellation and money back guarantee

If for any reason you decide that BGCC is not for you, you have 14 days to cancel your contract from the day of our first meeting. In this instance, you will be charged for the coach time that you have used thus far, at £60 an hour and will not be liable for 6 months coaching fees.

After 14 days you will be liable for the full 6 months of payments and this will be non-refundable unless you are cancelling your plan due to bad service from us.

7. Insurance and liability

We are qualified and insured British Cycling Coaches, our plans do not constitute medical advice. Before starting any exercise regime, it is up to you to determine that you are well and fit enough to do so. If at any time you feel unwell you must seek medical advice from a medical professional, like your doctor, if you are acutely unwell you must call an ambulance. We accept no liability if you become unwell or injured whilst following our plans.

You must honestly complete the questionnaire and answer specific questions accurately about your health and fitness, either by email or on the phone. We cannot be held liable for acting on inaccurate information. You must keep us informed of any changes in health or fitness, now or ongoing that may affect your ability to carry out your plan safely and with minimal risk.

You must understand that there are inherent risks for anyone undertaking an exercise regime or fitness plan that involves cycling and bicycles on the road, and an indoor setting. If you get injured or claim to have an injury as a result of our planning, you acknowledge that we are not responsible.

We cannot in anyway be held responsible for declared or undeclared medical conditions.

Belinda Gregorie has public liability insurance up to £15 million and Professional indemnity insurance up to £5 million. Details can be found on the British Cycling website.

8. Copyright and Intellectual property rights

This is for the protection of BGCC and the unique style and process of the coaching and plans therein.

All sessions, plans, information, educational material and any variations of, are the intellectual property of BGCC and will remain so. They are designed for personal use, and may not be shared, copied, re-used, published, sold or reproduced in any way.

Anyone who is training or trained as a cycling coach must declare a vested interest at the time of signing up. This includes personal trainers, coaches, nutritional advisors and teachers, and anyone who could benefit commercially or publicly from the knowledge gained from BGCC.

You must not copy, or pass off as your own any of BGCC’s plans, sessions, words, style, business model, concepts or business style.

Any plans or sessions that you download, remain the property of BGCC and must not be re-used or recycled in any way without express permission in writing.

9. Business hours

All plans have reasonable email support. All efforts will be made to reply to queries during office hours. If replies come out of office hours it is at the discretion of the coach, and email streams will not be forthcoming. Out of hours emails or training session notifications will be dealt with during the next working day.
